Dear Friends:

I hope this finds you all healthy and blessed with the great gift of family and friends. I know, that everyone of us, has busy lives, filled with many obstacles that challenge our every day.. In perspective, my challenges do not come close to those in Nicaragua that are are truly poor, disconnected, disfranchised and under served.  Water, shelter, food and medicine, are not and issue, for the most part, for those who communicate through the internet. There are many in Nicaragua, that these, basic of needs are elusive and missing.  I left Nicaragua as a child, and have now begun the journey to understand who I am and where I am from.  In the last few years there have been people in my life that have gently and patiently guided me to realize that a small and caring gesture of compassion and love can go a long way for those in need of water, food, shelter, and medicine.  For example last year, I was honored to be part of of a delegation that brought food for for over 125 families in Masaya.  The food provided allow those families to eat for a week..The cost was $650.00 US dollars.  Yes that's it. What if we collaborate as a people, through a small gesture on each of our parts and combine that effort to make a great change for those in need.  My idea, is to donate ten dollars a month to the Fundacion Masaya Contra La Pobreza de Nicaragua..Imagine how many people we could feed throughout the year and for Christmas, if we combine our efforts. I will ask my family and friends to help me, help others.. Maybe you could help as well.  Lets make the world better....by the way, as we gave the food last year, my dear mother who gave me the gift of an extraordinary life was standing just to my side..Still coaching me and still showing me what is most important in life is what we do for others...I will start tomorrow, Easter...

There is a quote by the great UCLA basketball coach John Wooden, that is always part of my life, “The most perfect day, in our life, is the day we do something for someone else, and not expect something in return."

Thanks for helping
